Was The American Revolution Biblical? Whoever said...

All that I have is a lot of questions...
1. Whoever said that this land was ours? The first settlers here were Pilgrims escaping religious persecution, under a government that was supposed to be based on Christian principles.
We could argue that this land was "here for the taking", but there are no Biblical proofs that we should have been able to come here and expect a new land to be given to us by God.
2. In addition, since this country was formed out of rebellion, why should we consider it legitimate. Many of the Christians remained loyal to the Crown during the American Revolution.
Or if we do consider it OK, why wouldn't rebellion be just as legitimate now? What if we didn't try to "fix" our current adherence to what we believe should be the Godly path, but instead started another revolution?
I'm not well educated on the founding of this country, beyond the average layperson. However, these are pretty fundamental questions....
