Secular Response

The constitution is clearly not a religious document. The founding fathers took the liberty on multiple occasions to make the intention of separation of church and state as obvious as it possibly can be.
Moreover, all it takes is a modicum of intelligence and the most casual skills of observation to see that the healthiest and most effective political entities in the world are those that are more secular. Where is God's wrath in The Netherlands, whose citizens were enjoying an age of reason and enlightenment while we were witch-hunting and committing unchristlike atrocities against our neighbors?
The religious right is laughably wrong in almost all of their views. I can only hope free-thinking peoples have the power to squash the momentum-wave they've generated as time moves forward.
