Dr. Gary North is a man of few spoken words and many written words. Consequently, he didn't respond to our interview request.
We weren't offended in the least because we know Gary North has a lot of writing to do. For example, this is the man who started out early in life to write an economic commentary on every book of the Bible before his death.
At 70+ years-of-age he is only on Book #11, so he has a ways to go in a relatively short time and we don't want to get him side-tracked. In his defense, Dr. North has been distracted along the way, writing over 30 other books on the practical application of the Bible to culture.
Dr. North is in fact one of the leading writers on the subject of Theonomy (God's Law) in our generation. His only fault is that he does tend to get a bit melodramatic at times.
Nevertheless, the church owes him a debt of gratitude for his leading role in dragging her kicking and screaming into the 20th Century.
In light of his busy schedule and in light of recent current events, we only had one question to ask of Gary North:
1. Dr. North, with the Christian Right in its current state of shell-shocked dismay and disarray following the election of President Obama, what do you recommend that we do? Do we have any hope left?
