Church Petition

I. Whereas, all evidence points to the conclusion that in the Constitution of 1787, the American nation deeply offended God and provoked His anger by:

  1. replacing the governing authority of God with the governing authority of man (Preamble: “we the people”)
  2. making the Constitution and manmade laws and treaties passed in pursuance thereof the "supreme law of the land", thus rejecting Biblical law at the heart of our legal system. (Article VI)
  3. outlawing the Biblical requirement for the magistrate to swear a civil oath to enforce the law of God, thus embracing polytheistic pluralism (Article VI: “no religious test”)
  4. usurping the legislative authority of God (Article I: “all legislative power…vested in a Congress”)
  5. permitting the public worship of any god other than the Biblical God in violation of the 1st and 2nd Commandments(1st Amendment)

II. Whereas, church leaders in America have contributed to this apostasy and further provoked the wrath of God by:

  1. assenting to the above actions or even applauding them and declaring them to be "our Christian heritage."
  2. declaring the civil law of God to be expired, dead, and effectively null & void, contrary to the express teaching of Christ and the apostles throughout the New Testament (e.g., Mk 7:6-10)
  3. substituting the law of man for the civil law of God by various heretical doctrines, such as natural law theory (Mt. 15:3-6)
  4. ignoring the civil law of God and refusing or neglecting to read it publically (Ezra 8:1-3)
  5. refusing to discuss and teach the implications of the law of God for civil government or culture in general (Ezra 8:8)
  6. "slacking" or "partializing" the law of God by pretending that occasional recitation of the Ten Commandments is adequate to satisfy the requirement of God (Hab. 1:4)
  7. Neglecting to instruct the civil magistrate in the law of God (Ezra 7:25,26; Dt. 17:9)
  8. shamefully allowing the magistrate to violate the sanctuary of God and trample on the Biblical doctrine of separation of church & state as taught in the matters of Saul and Uzziah (I Sam. 13: 12,13; II Chron. 26:19,20) by such practices as:
